Maximum temperature the human body can sustain?

The maximum temperature the human body can sustain is around 106-108 degrees Fahrenheit (41-42 degrees Celsius) before suffering irreparable brain damage or death. This is referred as Hyperpyrexia . Body temperature above this level is considered a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment.

The human body maintains a steady internal temperature through a process called thermoregulation. The normal body temperature for a healthy adult is around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius). When the body becomes too hot, the hypothalamus in the brain triggers mechanisms to cool the body down, such as sweating and increasing blood flow to the skin. However, in certain conditions such as heat stroke or malignant hyperthermia , body temperature may rise uncontrollably and can lead to damage to various body organs, severe dehydration and in severe cases lead to death. Immediate medical attention is required to prevent serious consequences in such cases.
